Guest galore for the delayed last show of Beyonce’s Formation tour.
Beyonce took over the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, last night for the last show of her Formation world tour, which began back on April 27 and has included 32 North American and 17 European shows. The MetLife date was originally scheduled for September 7 but delayed due a doctor’s order for Beyonce to rest her vocal cords.
Going out with a bang, Beyonce performed songs from her Lemonade album, covers of Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj, and tracks from Destiny’s Child’s catalogue.
Early on she brought out Serena Williams for ‘Sorry’, who appears in the song’s segment on the Lemonade visual album.
Then out came Jay-Z for ‘Drunk In Love’, which ends with a kiss between the couple and a shout of “give it up for my man.”
The last guest of the evening was Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar, who joined Beyonce for their Lemonade collaboration ‘Freedom’.
Two weeks ago, Beyonce paid tribute to the late rapper Shawty Lo during the Atlanta date of the Formation world tour.
