The haunting first sounds from the upcoming debut.

Kaan Erbay, a DJ and member of Boston’s DRAW collective, has unveiled his first album under the moniker Insha.

Named after the medical term for the enlargement of an organ in the early stages of cancer, Dysplazia appropriately offers a mutated take on familiar dance tropes. It’s out digitally and on vinyl October 21, but for an early look you can hear snippets of multiple tracks stitched together in a new teaser.

From its preview infected by oozing drones, slippery beats and chattering vocals, Dysplazia brings to mind the kind of sickly hip-hop distortions we heard on Arca’s early Stretch EPs while allowing enough space to peer through into the same lonely voids haunted by Burial.

Take it in below (with visuals by Greedy Goons) and grab Dysplazia via Type (a label independently operated by FACT’s John Twells).
