The East Londoner serves up a hearty slice of gospel-inspired rap.
UK hip-hop hopeful Jay Prince has shared a new track.
Co-produced by Prince with Mike “Scribz” Riley, ‘Father, Father’ is taken from Prince’s forthcoming Smile Good mixtape, which is due to land on Friday (October 21).
Prince says Smile Good is about having a backbone and growing through all of your experiences in life. “With this mixtape I wanted to highlight the hard times in my life, my background, my upbringing, relationships I have been in and also my religion,” he says. “All the pivotal moments that have made me who I am at this moment in time.” See the artwork below.
Jay Prince will support Chance the Rapper on the European leg of his world tour next month and will launch his mixtape at a London event for RBMA this Friday.
The rapper and producer recently took up our Against The Clock challenge – keep your eyes peeled for the results!
