Laurent Garnier and Youssou N’Dour are among the first artists to perform at the venue since last November’s attacks.
Le Bataclan in Paris will reopen on November 16, with two nights of gigs headlined by Pete Doherty and followed by Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour on the 18th and 19th. These are the first shows to take place at the venue following the devastating terrorist attacks of November 13 2015, in which 89 people were killed after gunmen opened fire at an Eagles of Death Metal concert.
Laurent Garnier is also set to headline a club night at the venue on November 24. That event will be hosted by A.K.A, the booking agency co-managed by Nuits Sonores and Alias Production, and will also feature a B2B set from Voiron and Gordon, as well as a live performance from Arnaud Rebotini. See a flyer for the show below and visit the venue’s Facebook page for more information on upcoming events.
As we reported back in April, Le Bataclan has been rebuilt exactly as it was in order to “preserve its warmth and friendliness” and “maintain its spirit”.
