The R&B star will feature on a new version of Britney’s track ‘Slumber Party’.
It’s not quite the second album we’ve been waiting for from Tinashe, but it’ll do for now. Last night (October 25), the Aquarius artist uploaded a photo of herself with Britney Spears that teased a collaboration between the pair. The photo was accompanied by the (poetic) caption: “The face you make when the rumors are true and you collabed with your idol & basically your whole life is a dream so you keep it cute for Brit but inside you are wigless and dead.”
Spears also tweeted the photo, but with the more restrained caption of “neighbors say we’re causing a commotion” (a lyric from her song ‘Slumber Party’).

Rumours that the pair had been working together began circulating last week after Tinashe posted a picture of herself in Spears’ recording studio. Now Popjustice reports that Tinashe will feature on a new version of Britney Spears’s ‘Slumber Party,’ which appears on her 2016 album Glory. It’s not clear yet when the track will land.
Tinashe has yet to release the follow-up to her widely acclaimed debut Aquarius, but hasn’t stopped working. Her latest collaboration dropped yesterday – the video for UK producer KDA’s dancefloor hit ‘Just Say’.
