Though Destiny’s Child still rejoin for the occasional performance, a new Instagram account has fans hoping for a grand return.
An official Destiny’s Child account appeared on the site last week and has since used the page for recognizing milestones in the group’s career (for example, the group released their #1’s singles comp this week in 2005). They’re identical posts to the group’s long-running Twitter account, but any official activity from the beloved trio is enough to cause speculation.
Last year, the group sparked reunion rumors after Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams performed together at the Stellar Gospel Awards in Las Vegas. Sources at the time said the group hoped to reunite, but faced difficultly due to mutual desires to avoid working with Beyoncé’s father Mathew Knowles, who despite the three having cut professional ties, still owns one fourth of the group. Before that, the trio rejoined during the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013
