911 operators were reportedly warned the rapper “would become violent to police” by his doctor.

Kanye West reportedly attempted to assault a staff member at a gym prior to being hospitalized last night. The rapper, who cancelled his remaining Saint Pablo dates yesterday following backlash over pro-Trump remarks made onstage at a show in Sacramento last week, is confirmed to have suffered a medical emergency yesterday, which TMZ now claims saw his doctor warn police he may become violent to law officials.

The rapper’s doctor, Dr Michael Farzam, is reported by the news outlet to have called police after an altercation with a staff member at a gym. He named his patient as “Jim Jones” and reported him as “[suffering] from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.”

TMZ had previously reported that West was handcuffed in the ambulance as he was assisted by medical staff. “We’re told Kanye was handcuffed to the stretcher because it’s protocol when cops are told someone is on a 5150 hold,” the site is reporting now, however.

The incident comes after Kanye left the stage after three songs at a show in San Jose on Saturday, after taking shots at Hilary Clinton, Jay Z and Beyonce, before cancelling his scheduled show in LA on Sunday. FACT has reached out for comment from West’s representatives.
