The Brooklyn rapper is crafting quite a long swan song.
Yasiin Bey, the artist formerly known as Mos Def, is set to release December 99th, a collaborative album with Ferrari Shepherd at the end of this week on December 9. The Tidal exclusive is part of his farewell tour, as he’s announced he’ll be retiring from music soon.
Alongside shows in New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, Bey will also has two more final albums under his belt, Stereogum points out: A solo record called Negus in Natural Person one produced entirely by Mannie Fresh(!!!) called As Promised. There are no release dates for either album yet.
