The DJ swaps turntables for tonkotsu.
Jackmaster and fellow Numbers DJ Spencer have opened a ramen restaurant in Glasgow called Ramen Dayo.
According to a post on Facebook, the restaurant and bar is a joint venture with another founding member of Numbers, Paul Beveridge, and is located in Gordon Street in the lane next to Bier Halle.
Beveridge is the driving force behind the idea, which comes from his 11 years spent living in Japan and his frustration at the lack of good ramen options on the city when he returned in 2014. It’s open from 12pm to 10pm every day, and serves “authentic Ramen, Gyoza, Saké and Japanese cocktails.”
Jackmaster isn’t the only DJ to go into the restaurant business: last year LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy opened an acoustically treated wine bar in Williamsburg. [via RA]
