The band’s first new material since 1995’s Pygmalion.
After teasing their return with a cryptic video last night, shoegaze dons Slowdive have dropped their first new song in over two decades, ‘Star Roving’.
Singer Neil Halstead says that the song is part of “a bunch of new tracks we’ve been working on and it feels as fun, and as relevant playing together now as it did when we first started.”
Slowdive split back in 1995 but in 2014 announced that they’d reunited and more new music would follow.
‘Star Roving’ is the taste of their forthcoming album, which will be released via Dead Oceans later in the year and which it’s safe to say we are rather looking forward to.
