The US band play their first show in over a decade.
Audioslave will reunite to play an anti-Donald Trump inauguration ball curated by Prophets of Rage on January 20.
The four-piece LA supergroup – made up of Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk – will perform at the Teragram Ballroom in LA alongside Vic Mensa, Jackson Browne, Jack Black and The Los Angeles Freedom Choir.
Audioslave formed in 2001 and released three albums, before splitting up in 2007. They made history in 2005 when they played a free concert in Cuba for over 70,000 people, the second American rock band that had been allowed to perform in the country at the time.
Prophets of Rage – an “elite task force of revolutionary musicians” featuring members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill – performed a guerrilla gig at the Republican National Convention in July, in protest against Trump.
