Fiona Apple’s recent output has primarily been jokey anti-Trump songs that are as delightful as they are foreboding. But today, director Kevin Hayes shared a video on Instgram of Apple singing R&B girlgroup SWV’s 1992 breakout hit ‘Weak’ and it is emotional.
“The other night Fiona sang me a bunch of SWV tunes- needles [sic] to say I’ve been dead,” Hayes writes.
Too dead to share the rest of them? I need ‘Rain’, Hayes. I need it.
