It will benefit The Trevor Project, Pro Publica and more.

Keith Kenniff, aka Helios, has announced Disquiet, a series of ambient compilations on his label Unseen Music that will benefit charities that focus on “the environment, investigative journalism, women and minorities.”

The series will feature contributions from Ryuichi Sakamoto, Julianna Barwick, Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm, and Liz Harris (aka Grouper) in collaboration with Jefre Cantu-Ledesma’s Raum. Almost all of the music will be exclusive to the compilations and previously unreleased.

Disquiet Vol. 1 will be released next Friday, February 17 and includes tracks from Helios, Benoît Pioulard and The Album Leaf. You can preorder digitally on Bandcamp with a physical release forthcoming. more info here.

Some of the non-profits supported by the Disquiet series include LGBT rights group The Trevor Project and independent news organization Pro Publica, as well as the National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and the Natural Resources Defense Council.
