He also talks Star Wars, Atlanta and more.

Since rumors started brewing, the universe wants a Donald Glover and Chance The Rapper collaboration bad. Yesterday, Glover offered an update, discussing working in the studio with Chance in an interview on REAL 92.3’s “Big Boy’s Neighborhood”.

“We’ll see what happens, but yeah, we actually sat down in the studio and worked hard for a little bit,” he said. Both their busy schedules have made it hard to just meet up and hang out, something important to Glover’s (and he thinks Chance’s) creative process.

“I don’t work with people over email anymore. I think it just doesn’t make good work, but it’s just that we have to find the time to, like, sit down together,” Glover explains, citing Chance’s recent mixtape with Jeremih as an ideal example.

Though Glover modestly says “I don’t know if I’ll see [Chance] again now that he’s won a Grammy,” things are blowing up for recent Golden Globe winner as well. Elsewhere, Glover discusses his hit series Atlanta and its 2018 return, starring as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Star Wars prequel, as well as an unnamed role in the new Spiderman movie.

Earlier this week, Disney announced Glover would voice Simba in a live-action remake of The Lion King. [via Complex]
