A deeper look at last year’s Barclays Center shows that celebrated the iconic label’s 20th anniversary.
Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records is one of the most important and formative labels to in rap history. Last year, Puff reunited with most of the label’s roster and its affiliates – Mase, The LOX, Lil Kim, Total, 112 and more – to celebrate two decades of music history with two concerts at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. (The shows were so successful, Puff organized a national tour with that lineup.)
Both concerts were documented for a new film called Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop will will make its world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival, which takes place April 19-30. No premiere date has been unveiled yet.
One of the biggest records from Bad Boy’s deep catalog is Ma$e’s debut album Harlem World. That album turns 20 later this year, but its legacy still endures. Read more about it here.
