Calvin Harris has broken down the making of ‘Slide’, his recent collaboration with Frank Ocean and Migos
Detailing the process in a two-minute video, Harris can be seen playing and layering each instrument previously namechecked in the credits. This includes piano, guitars, bass and synth, while Harris also brings in an a cappella snippet of Ocean’s gorgeous vocals and ad-libs towards the end.
Last month, Ocean shed some light on one of his lyrics from the song – a rarity for the famously tight-lipped songwriter. Referring to the lyric “I might/Empty my bank account/And buy that boy with a pipe”, Ocean explains that it is an allusion to “a Picasso painting that sold for so much money.”
