Cooking up dope in the crockpot?

The second single from Katy Perry’s forthcoming album will be a collaboration with Atlanta rappers Migos titled ‘Bon Appétit’.

Last night, the pop singer tweeted out its artwork, which features her disembodied head making a duckface in the centre of a fruit platter. Mmm, appetizing. All three members of Migos seem to be reaching towards the plate while avoiding actually picking anything up from it.

‘Bon Appétit’ follows February’s ‘Chained To The Rhythm’, which went Top 5 in the US and the UK. Perry’s fourth album is due to be released in 2017, but as yet no title or date has been announced.

Meanwhile, Migos are riding high off one of the best albums of the year, Culture, and its increasingly ubiquitous anthem ‘T-Shirt’ – though the Atlanta trio have blundered off record, describing public support for fellow rapper iLoveMakonnen coming out as “wack”.

Perry has put her “political awakening” front and center of her album campaign, describing her new music as “purposeful pop”. We’re sure ‘Bon Appétit’ will be a brilliant example of her new-found activist streak.
