Six tracks of puns and bantz.
Lady Leshurr has released a new EP today, Mode – the Birmingham MC’s first since last year’s Queen Speech EP, which collected her five acclaimed freestyles of the same name.
Mode is also trailed by a video for its ridiculously catchy track, ‘Juice’, which features Leshurr in full-on cheeky bantz form over a sparse beat that sounds a bit like an updated version of Clipse’s ‘Grindin’. She’s joined in the video by a number of child dancers, whom she describes in a YouTube comment as “little supporters that I wanted to involve”.
As well as the cutesy jokes of ‘Juice’, the EP also contains the harder-edged ‘Trust Nobody’ and Leshurr upping her flow to trademark tongue-twisting speed on the title track.
