The student reached her fundraising goal in under 24 hours thanks to him.
Oxford University student Fiona Asiedu recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise enough money to study at Harvard for her master’s degree when a friend tweeted the link to Stormzy hoping to spread the word. Going a step further, the grime MC donated £9,000 to her goal, BBC points out.
Can we all RT this please and get @Stormzy1 to help share her campaign! https://t.co/HwkzrLBAvm

Friends of Asiedu reached out to Stormzy with the hope he’d simply share it. After the MC responded “Deal!”, the campaign received the massive donation under the artists legal name Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Junior. It was later changed to anonymous.
Asiedu was originally aiming to reach £12,000 over the course of the month, but thanks to Stormzy’s donation she’s broken her goal and still has 26 days of additional funding to go. Asiedu shared the news later and as for Stormzy — look’s like he may have gotten a free trip to Nando’s out of it.
