Another essential release from Whities.
Minor Science returns return to Whities next week with a new two-track 12″ of abstract, bass-driven club music.
Whities 012 is the third record the UK producer has released on Nic Tasker’s Whities label since his debut on The Trilogy Tapes in 2014. A-side track ‘Volumes’, streaming below, balances crystalline synths with thick, soupy bass and odd vocal samples, and sounds like the offspring of a grime instrumental and a Workshop 12″.
It’s joined by ‘Another Moon’ on the B-side, and lands on 12″ and digital formats on September 15. Minor Science also appears on Covered In Gloria, a covers compilation from Bullion’s Deek Recordings released today (September 8) on which he contributes his take on The Blue Nile’s 1984 track ‘Heatwave’.
Minor Science’s new record follows other essential Whities releases this year from Coby Sey and Lanark Artefax.
