The new track is Fever Ray’s first new music since 2009.
The Knife’s Karin Dreijer Andersson has revived her Fever Ray project with ‘To the Moon and Back’, the first new music from the alias since 2009.
The colorful new track is accompanied by a dark, neon-lit NSFW video that sees Dreijer awaken from a cryogenic sleep and visit a BDSM tea party. Dreijer hasn’t yet announced a new album, but earlier this week she released a teaser video titled ‘A New Friend’.
Dreijer’s self-titled debut album as Fever Ray was released in 2009, and took The Knife’s electro-pop and techno sound into darker corners. Since then, Dreijer and her brother Olaf have released their final album as The Knife, Shaking The Habitual, which was followed up earlier this year by a new live album and DVD, Live at Terminal 5.
